Music is the social act of communication among people, a gesture of friendship, the strongest there is. -- Malcolm Arnold
Opportunities
Performing with their ensembles, responding to requests for volunteers, and sometimes taking initiative to reach out,
SWHS students are making an impact in our community.

High School:
- Student volunteers sometimes coach others during class time.

- Chamber Orchestra performs for Senior Holiday Luncheons two or three times a year at the Community Center.
Middle School:
- SWHS string players are volunteering their time and talents by being practice buddies, teachers and coaches after school at TEMS.

CAPSTONE
Is your Capstone project based on, or related to, what you do in music?
Consider how you (and maybe your friends, too) can use music as a contribution to the community.
I would love to hear your ideas, and maybe see them in action.
